Overature Power Revolver

This gun is a power Revolver and is being fired 3 single shots then 3 rapid fire shots.

Overature Pro Tools Session

I started by placing the Weaponiser plugin into an instrument track and then going through all the different engines within the plugin. The onset, body, thump, and then finally tail. Since the overture is a Revolver, and a power type so it just fires regular bullets just like a real life gun.

Weaponiser Plugin Onset Detail

Now within the Weaponiser plugin, you choose from many different gunshots already pre loaded with the fully loaded edition of the plugin.

You can see within the onset engine I chose 3 different gunshots from 2 different guns. Each audio clip was recorded from a different perspective and I was able to get a nice 'punchy' effect within those shots. one shot from a Beretta which is a pistol and the other 2 from ak-47s. these were single shots from the gun. and then, within the mix window in the plugin, the yellow audio files show the three shots on top of each other.

Overature Body Detail

Within the body engine of the plugin, I found another ak-47 single shot and added it to the body to give it more punch! I also added an eq to this engine to boost some bids and lows. And within the mix window, you can see that I moved the body a little bit ahead of the onset to give it that final punch!

Overature Tail Details

And lastly the thump and tail engine. In the thump engine on the photo on the left, I found a spas-12 distance shot to add power behind the first shots fired by the onset and body engines. by adding this it sounds as if the shot has power behind it and not just a weak shot. it adds a louder bang/boom to the final mix.

In the tail engine, photo on right, I also added a spas-12 shot from much greater distance to add that the shot has been fired and that you get the echo afterwards. This helps bring the whole shot together as if being fired off out in the open. Also within the tail engine, in the mix window I pushed the tail to be a little further away from the rest to give it that tail, that send off that the shot needs.

Who i am

Hey everyone, thanks for checking out my site!

I am Mark Japuncha, and I’m from Warren, Ohio. I’m currently a Senior in the Sound Design program at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) and will be graduating in June 2022.

I’ve been playing video games since I was six years old, and love it to this day. Then, in a high school computer class, I discovered sound design by taking silent films and adding sound to them. To combine two of my favorite things—gaming and sound, is my professional goal.

I'm interested in doing projects that push me to do better in my craft and challenge my creative limits. I love working in teams, big or small, and gaining new insight from peers and co-workers.

Ultimately, my dream is to work in the AAA video game industry, no matter the game or studio.

Feel free to contact me below if you want to get to know me better, or if you have questions about the projects I’ve worked on in my career, so far.

Thank you for taking the time to view my site!!
